History Wire

The goal of History Wire, is to engage Canadians in a dialogue with their past: revealing precedents, celebrating accomplishments, debating issues, learning from our mistakes. It is our collective memory wired to the present through articles, blogs, conversations and multimedia. 7th Floor Media developed the site for the Historica Foundation as part of an Enterprise Java application that encompasses multiple Web sites and an organization-wide system for managing content. Although the interface is a familiar blog format, the client has complete control of the content, display and storage of every contribution to the site through a sophisticated online custom interface. Users spark discussions, contribute to the dialogue and share content through a sophisticated online interface.
